MAC 973 - Semi-permanent Release

Description:

MAC-973 will provide a non-oily, chemically inert and thermally stable release film for rotomolded parts where controlled release is important.The product is an emulsion of film-forming resins.

Technical Data:

  • Color and appearance - Milky-white emulsion

Application Method:

    Apply as delivered to a clean, dry surface. MAC-973 can be applied to a hot or cold surface, but preheating the mold to at least 200º F will facilitate evaporation and speed up dry time. The mold should be cleaned with a suitable solvent or abrasive cleaner. Apply a thin, even coating across the surface of the mold and allow to dry; a second coat is required for new molds. MAC-973 can be reapplied as needed.

Safety and Handling:

  • The Safety Data Sheet for MAC-973 should be reviewed before using the product.
  • None of the ingredients in MAC-973 are considered hazardous, however, good industrial practice suggests the use of safety glasses and gloves.
  • Product should be protected from freezing. Container should be kept covered to prevent evaporation and eliminate any product contamination.
