McLube 1779 - Concentrated Release Agent

Description:

McLube 1779 is a water-based dispersion of PTFE designed for hard-to-release compounds such as FKM. This product is supplied as a concentrate.

Technical Data:

  • Color and appearance - Thick, white fluid dispersion
  • Dispersing medium - Water

  • Weight per gallon (lbs.) - 8.5

Application Method:

    This product requires dilution before use; 1-part product to 2-parts water is recommended. Mix the product prior to dilution and mix the diluted product periodically during application. Apply the product to a dry surface free of oily residues and other release coatings. The product may be wiped, brushed or sprayed onto the mold surface. Apply to a hot mold to facilitate evaporation for best results.

Safety and Handling:

    Review the Safety Data Sheet prior to use. The solid active ingredients in McLube 1779 are essentially nontoxic but temperatures above 550°F may result in harmful fumes. Smoking should not be permitted while using the product and contamination of tobacco products with McLube 1779 should be avoided. Do not allow the product to freeze; if the product freezes, it will require mechanical agitation to be restored.
