MAC 841 Engineered Wood Mold Release Agent

Description:

MAC-841 is a water emulsion of a film forming resin that cures to form a clear, colorless coating with excellent release and antistick characteristics. It is intended for use as a release coating for Engineered Wood Molds.

Technical Data:

  • Color and appearance................Milky white liquid
  • Dispersing medium....................Water
  • Specific gravity..........................1.00
  • Weight per gallon (lbs.)..............8.3

Application Method:

MAC-841 should be applied as received or diluted with deionized water to a clean, dry mold. Typical dilutions range from one to four parts deionized water to one part MAC-841. It can be applied to hot or cold molds, but preheating the mold to at least 200°F will facilitate evaporation of the water. Proper application of the release coating will help achieve the maximum number of releases per application.

Safety and Handling:

The Material Safety Data Sheet, which accompanies each shipment, should be reviewed before using MAC-841. None of the ingredients in MAC-841 are considered hazardous; however, good industrial practice suggests the use of safety glasses and, if exposure to the skin is involved, gloves should be worn. Product should be protected from freezing. Container should be kept covered to prevent evaporation.
