McLube 1829 - Concentrated Release Agent

McLube 1829 is a concentrated release agent and anti-stick coating designed for use in the plastics industry. This product is a clean, economical alternative to silicone oil, soap and other low-tech releasing agents.

Technical Data:

  • Color and appearance - Opaque, white to off-white emulsion
  • Dispersing medium - Water
  • Specific gravity - 1.01
  • Weight per gallon (lbs.) - 8.4

Application Method:

McLube 1829 is a concentrate designed for a ratio of 1-part McLube : 4-parts water while a mold is being conditioned. It is possible to use higher dilutions and still achieve excellent results after the mold has been conditioned properly. McLube 1829 is a stable emulsion but we recommend you mix prior to use and periodically during application. 1829 will air-cure, but for faster drying, we recommend applying to a hot surface.

Safety and Handling:

Review the Safety Data Sheet for this product before use. McLube 1829 has a very low order of toxicity; good industrial practice suggests the use of safety glasses and gloves regardless. Freezing of the product should be avoided.
