McLube 1711L - Mold Release Agent

Description:

McLube 1711L is an excellent release coating for all types of compounds, including: silicone, EPDM, HNBR, FKM and peroxide-cured systems. This product is suitable for use up to 550°F.

Technical Data:

  • Color and appearance - White, translucent dispersion
  • Dispersing medium - Solvent blend: heptane, ethanol, butyl acetate, propyl cellosolve
  • Specific gravity - 0.84
  • Weight per gallon (lbs.) - 7.0

Application Method:

Apply to a clean, dry surface. We recommend cleaning your mold with a solvent-based cleaning agent. Use as received. Mix well before using and periodically during application. Spray, brush or wipe a thin, even coat onto the mold; apply a second coat to unconditioned molds after the first has dried. Once the mold is conditioned, multiple releases per application may be possible.

The active ingredient is essentially nontoxic but temperatures above 550°F may cause formation of harmful fumes. Smoking should not be permitted while using McLube 1711L and contamination of tobacco products should be avoided. Always wear the appropriate safety equipment when handling the product.
