MAC-841 is a water-based, semi-permanent coating with previously unattainable benefits for engineered wood manufacturers. While exceedingly durable—requiring infrequent reapplication—MAC-841 is also environmentally conscious, fast-drying, and will not stain wood boards or “brown-out”. The formula’s unique durability is due to excellent temperature tolerance—32°F to 1,000°F—and resistance to microscopic abrasion during processing. Not only does this product’s durability allow for fewer applications, it also means MAC-841 will protect tooling from chemical abrasion and rust during downtime. The need for fewer applications makes MAC-841 ideal for daylight press applications, and compatibility with the tenacious pMDI-based adhesives of the future means this coating will remain at the cutting edge for years to come.
