Supported Materials and Processes

McLube® offers food and medical-grade release technology for silicone rubbers and other elastomers as well as ABS, acetyl, acrylics, nylons, polycarbonate, polystyrene, and many other thermoplastics and thermosetting resins. These products are ideal for most compression, injection, and blow molding operations. McLube® also offers food and medical-grade lubricants for metallic and nonmetallic substrates. Compliance

McLube® offers release agents and lubricants that generally meet the following Title 21 FDA Regulations when applied appropriately by the end-user:

  • CFR 175.300 (Release Agent)
  • CFR 178.3570 (Lubricant, incidental)

Our products may be safely applied to machinery used for producing food (or food packaging) provided the amount used is the minimum required to accomplish the desired technical effect on the equipment and the addition to food does not exceed the limitations prescribed by FDA CFR 175.300 or other applicable governmental regulations. These products are not intended to be direct food additives or for subcutaneous use. Method of application often determines a process aid’s suitability for a given food or medical application and, as such, the customer is ultimately responsible for determining the suitability of our products for their food/medical-related process.
