McLube Mold Sealer

Description:

Sealer for fiberglass reinforced polyester, epoxy and all types of composite molds. Can be used on new or green molds as well as for sealing or conditioning old molds. Will eliminate surface defects and porosity.

Application Method:

  • The surface to be coated should be clean and free from grease, oil, dirt and particularly all traces of prior release agents.
  • A solvent cleaner such as McLube Mold Cleaner can be used.
  • McLube Mold Sealer is intended for use as received. Any conventional method can be used for application - spraying, dipping, wiping or brushing. On a fresh mold apply three coats. Coatings should be thin and even. Allow to dry approximately 15 minutes between coats.

Safety and Handling:

  • The Material Safety Data Sheet for McLube Mold Sealer should be reviewed before using the product.
  • The precautions to be observed in handling McLube Mold Sealer are those related to the solvent heptane in the product. The solvent is flammable, and thus, the product should be kept away from heat, sparks and flames. Use only with adequate ventilation,especially in enclosed areas. Safety glasses and gloves are recommended when using this product.
