McLube 1851 Water Based Silicone Mold Release Agent and Lubricant


McLube 1851 water based silicone mold release provides superior release properties, excellent part appearance and lubrication. Can be used on metal and nonmetallic mold surfaces. Excellent release for all polymers - plastic, rubber, urethane and composite.

Application Method:

    McLube 1851 is intended to be applied as received to clean, dry surfaces. Dilutions with water may be possible depending upon the method of application and specific process characteristics. Start with a clean, dry surface. All previously used release coatings and any compound residue should be removed by an appropriate method. McLube Mold Cleaner may be used. Application of McLube 1851 can be accomplished by spraying or wiping.

Safety and Handling:

    The Material Safety Data Sheet for McLube 1851 should be reviewed prior to using the product. McLube 1851 has a low order of toxicity; however, good industrial practice suggests the use of safety glasses and gloves. Freezing of the product should be avoided.
