MAC 810 Moly and Graphite Dry Film Lubricant

Description:

MAC-810 is a solvent based dispersion of a blend of molybdenum disulfide and graphite solid lubricants that will provide a durable, dry film coating with excellent lubricity and an extremely low coefficient of friction. The dry lubricant coating resulting after evaporation of the solvent has excellent adhesion to most substrates and exhibits high load carrying ability, extreme pressure lubrication properties, chemical resistance, and good abrasion resistance. Also provides excellent anti-seizing and anti-galling properties.

Technical Data:

  • Color and appearance................Grayish-Black dispersion
  • Dispersing medium.....................VM&P Naphtha
  • Specific gravity............................0.9
  • Weight per gallon (lbs.)..............7.9

Application Method:

MAC-810 Moly and Graphite Dry Film Lubricant is intended for use as received. Since the product is a dispersion, it settles on standing. It is necessary to mix the product thoroughly prior to use and periodically during use. If the material has not been standing for too long a period, simple hand mixing may redisperse the solids satisfactorily; however, after longer storage periods, mechanical stirring is recommended. Surfaces to be coated should be clean and dry. Any conventional application method can be employed - brushing, dipping, wiping or spraying.

Safety and Handling:

The Material Safety Data Sheet for MAC-810 Moly and Graphite Dry Film Lubricant should be reviewed prior to using the product. The precautions to be observed in handling MAC-810 are those related to the solvent. Naphtha is flammable and the product should be kept away from heat, sparks and flames. Use only with adequate ventilation, especially in enclosed areas. Safety glasses and gloves are recommended when using this product.
