Case Study
The Challenge
A leading mattress manufacturer contacted McLube to replace their existing release agent plagued by performance issues and supply disruptions. We called back within one business day to begin discovery.
The Process
Together with the manufacturer’s team, we analyzed the material-substrate interaction, process conditions, and available application equipment, and then began prototyping. Samples were delivered free of charge, and our product specialists were onsite for trial assistance.
Outcome
A unique, water-based release agent was created, improving release characteristics without the addition of new equipment. The solution was also designed for the long term. Multi-source raw materials were used, and the delivered solution was also VOC-free and PFAS-free.
