Details & Benefits

Benefits

Solvent-based

  • Instantly dry
  • Non-oily, non-staining, and chemically inert
  • Improved wetting on ambient-temperature surfaces
  • After the solvent carrier evaporates, the film is non-flammable
  • Exceedingly low coefficient of friction
  • Improves efficiency of machines and interactions
  • Ideal for humid conditions
  • Suitable for cold storage/transportation
  • Ideal for metal-metal interactions
  • Repels dirt, grime, and debris from the application site

Water-based Benefits

  • Inherently VOC-free
  • Non-oily, non-staining, and chemically inert
  • Exceedingly low coefficient of friction
  • Excellent stick-slip characteristics
  • Entirely non-hazardous and operator-friendly
  • Improves efficiency of machines and interactions
  • Dilutable for additional cost savings
  • Differing dilution ratios give users more control over performance
  • Tailorable to different applications in the plant
  • Repels contaminants to reduce fouling and cleaning

Applications

  • General lubrication (metal-metal, metal-rubber, metal-polymer interactions): anti-squeak, abrasion resistance, wear resistance, anti-galling, anti-seize
  • Noise, vibration, and harshness reduction (NVH)
  • Lubrication at temperatures below 700°F (371°C)
  • Food processing and medical devices
  • Aeronautical applications
  • Marine applications

Performance

McLube® Oil-free Protection

Oily lubricants tend to cause fouling at the application site because they are thick, messy, and attract dirt, dust, and grime. Buildup of oils and contaminants at the application site requires continual cleaning and more frequent application of the lubricant. Our oil-free, PTFE dry film lubricants repel contaminants on a molecular level to prevent fouling of the application site over time and improve plant cleanliness. McLube® dry film lubricants will also protect metallic surfaces from rust and corrosion to extend the effective lifespan of equipment and help it run more efficiently. McLube® may add further corrosion-inhibiting additives to any of our dry film lubricants for application in humid conditions.
